My Story

Born in Kansas City, Missouri, actor and dancer Madeleine Quinn was dancing before she could walk. She began dance lessons at the age of two and competition baton twirling by the age of three. With a baton in the hands of that whirlwind of energy, it was only a matter of time before a TV was broken and the baton was retired in favor of further dance training at Priscilla and Dana’s School of Dance, where she competed for seven years. Madeleine continued her dance career in high school on the varsity dance team, serving as captain and choreographer for two years. She is trained in jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical, modern, hip hop, pom, and various ballroom. Madeleine’s love for performance extended beyond dance, leading her to take acting classes at the Kansas City Coterie Theatre as a child. She participated in countless community and school productions over the years, starring in her high school productions of The Addams Family and Picnic among others.

After graduating from St. Pius X High School, Madeleine flew across the country to Los Angeles to chase her dreams of acting. She acted in theatre productions of Almost, Maine, as Ophelia/Lavinia in an abstract piece of Shakespeare’s work, and as the Angel in Angels in America. Her favorite was a production of The Wolves, where her dreams came true as she was able to bring her love of soccer, and her 16 years of playing the sport, to the stage. In 2019, Madeleine studied in a conservatory style program in Bonn, Germany with the Bonn Academy for International Education. She worked with a teacher from the Moscow Art Theatre, Ilya Bocharnikov, as well as learning to stilt-walk. She then traveled to the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb, Croatia to study release movement technique and vocal development. Following this training, she performed in a production of Spring Awakening in Germany as Wendla Bergmann and Mrs. Gabor. Since returning to LA, Madeleine has played Britt in the comedy/horror feature film, The Haunting of Hype House, as well as Sarah in the thriller, Wilder Than Her. A few of her recent short film roles include Abigail in The Vigilante, Brooklyn in Love is Inevitable, and Jenna “Krech” Krechmann in On the Line. A flurry of energy and vivacity, Madeleine delights in staying active. If she’s not acting or dancing, she’s likely playing soccer or volleyball, hiking, horseback riding, rock climbing, cycling, or roller skating. On her more restful days, she enjoys singing, writing poetry, and playing the ukelele.
